United we support. United we welcome. United 2026.

The Independent Supporters Council would like to congratulate Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, Monterrey, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver for their successful bids to host the United 2026 World Cup. We are excited that the anticipation of this announcement is over and for the next steps in planning this momentous event. As supporters and fans in North America, we look forward to welcoming people from all over the world to our communities. Our goal is to make sure that this hosting is the most inclusive and progressive of all World Cups. With that, we are not blind to work that needs to be done not only in our local communities, but also at the state/province and national levels of our hosting countries.

For the first time, all cities bidding to host games had to include a mandatory human rights report in their submitted bids. As an organization whose statutes and principles are grounded in anti-discrimination and promoting inclusive environments, we are committed to working with our cities, clubs, and other organizations to hold all stakeholders of the World Cup accountable in areas of concern and beyond as outlined in the submitted human rights reports. We understand the microscope our cities and our soccer/football communities are about to be under and know that WE can rise to the occasion to set the standard of hosting to come.

The work that will be done leading up to the 2026 World Cup is about more than just the games that will be played. This work will be a showing of our progress since 1994 and a chance to solidify our legacy as cities, states, and countries. We cannot wait.

United we support. United we welcome. United 2026.
